Descriptive text is a text that describes a particular person, place or thing.
Today we will learn about how to describe a person.
The purpose of this text is to describe a chearacteristic for person in detail.
The generic structure of Descriptive text:
1. Identification (introduces the person described)
2. Description (gives the details of the person described)
3. Conclution(optional)

Santi : I don’t really like fishing. I would rather stay at home
than go fishing. What about you, Riri? What would you
like to do on the long weekend?
Riri : I have made a plan with my mother about what to do
on this long weekend. We are going to practice baking
cookies.
Bayu : Are you going to bake choco chips cookies like the last
time?
Riri : Well, yes. That is my favourite. But we will also try to
make ginger cookies.
Riri : Oh, would you like to join me to learn baking cookies?
You can come to my house.
Bayu : It’s a good idea! Or will you go fishing with me and my
dad?
Santi : Uhm, not fishing I guess. But I think I would like to
bake cookies with Riri. Thanks for asking me to join you

The use of would like to, will, be going to and would rather
"Would like to" is used to show offer an object with polite
“Will” is used to talk about activity not planned before in the future
“Be going to”is used to talk about scheduled activity
“Would rather” is used to choose between two or more preffered option
Assignment:
Make the dialog with your friends about intention and show it up in front of the class. You can make it in video and upload it in your youtube channel. Try to use "would like to, will, be going to and would rather" in your dialog. There are some topics that you can use to make the dialog:
Have a casual chat with your friends. Tell them about the activities you plan to do after school.
A friend is absent because she is sick. You plan with your friends to visit her this afternoon. However, one of them makes an excuse for not going.
